Job Description
Job Summary Are you passionate about youth ministry? Do you enjoy working with at risk adolescents ? If so, we invite you to apply for this meaningful opportunity with Timothy Hill Academy. The Campus Minister plays a vital role in fostering the spiritual, emotional, and social growth of At-Risk youth on our campus. This position is responsible for developing a spiritual life program that includes Bible study, worship and organizing special events and outings. The Campus Minister also supports residents during times of personal crisis and helps cultivate a welcoming environment for exploring faith. This position will serve our residential boys program, consisting primarily of teenage boys who are struggling with family and home-related issues. The vast majority of our boys are adopted and struggling with attachment issues. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging educational programs that promote spiritual growth and understanding of Christian teachings. Provide Christian counseling to youth facing personal challenges, offering support in crisis management situations. Actively communicate with Residents to build trust and rapport, ensuring they feel valued and heard. Offer support to Residents, help them navigate their emotions during difficult times. This role is a part time, hourly role. However, there are opportunities to combine this with direct care responsibilities to be a full time, salaried role. For those seeking a full time role, on campus housing may be available. Qualifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young adults. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with Residents, and staff members. Background in Christian counseling or a ministry related fields is required. Ability to manage crises effectively while providing compassionate support to those in need. A deep understanding of Christian values and teachings that guide interactions with youth. Passion for working with young people and fostering their spiritual development. Understanding of issues related to adoption and other family related struggles is important. This role is essential for nurturing the next generation's faith journey while providing a supportive community environment.
