Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chaplain to join our team at Oasis Hospice in Austin. This role is essential in providing spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families. To provide an assessment of the patient's and family's spiritual needs and to provide counseling to meet those needs. providing spiritual support and guidance to patients and their families during challenging times. As a Chaplain, you will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Conduct memorial services and facilitate bereavement support. Collaborate with IDG team members to ensure holistic patient care. Offer crisis intervention when needed. Lead educational sessions on spiritual well-being. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient needs. Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual care provided. Engage in community outreach programs to promote hospice services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience in hospice or palliative care settings. Strong Christian counseling background. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide bereavement support effectively. Leadership experience within a healthcare or community setting is a plus. Proficient public speaking and presentation skills. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
