Youth Ministry Director (Portland, TX) Job DescriptionJob Description Position Summary GracePoint Church is seeking a passionatefollower of Jesus to lead our Student Ministry by helping middle and highschool students grow into lifelong disciples of Christ. This person will build authentic relationshipswith students and families, equip volunteers to invest in the next generation,and create an environment where students are encouraged to know Jesus, grow intheir faith, serve others, and share the Gospel. Because we are a small-town church, we believeministry happens both inside and outside the church walls. We are looking forsomeone who enjoys being involved in the life of our community-celebrating withstudents at football games, volleyball matches, livestock shows, band concerts,theater productions, and other school and community events. Simply showing upspeaks volumes and creates opportunities to build meaningful relationships withstudents and their families. Our desire isn't simply to build a large youthgroup-we want to develop young men and women whose lives are transformed byChrist and who become leaders in their homes, schools, churches, andcommunities. Build Relationships Invest personally in students throughconsistent presence, encouragement, and discipleship. Build authentic relationships withstudents and families throughout the week-not just during church services. Be visible and engaged in thecommunity by attending school and community events whenever possible,celebrating students in the places where they spend their lives. Create opportunities for meaningfulconversations and spiritual encouragement beyond the church campus. Be approachable, available, andgenuinely interested in the lives of students as they navigate the challengesof adolescence. Connect Students to the Church Help students become activeparticipants in the life of GracePoint Church. Encourage students to worship, serve,give, and use their gifts within the church body. Foster meaningful relationshipsbetween students and adults from every generation. Help students understand thatfollowing Jesus is not just something we do on Sundays, but a way of life thatimpacts our schools, homes, teams, workplaces, and community. What Success Looks Like Success in this role is measured by more thanattendance.
