This dynamic role is designed for passionate individuals committed to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and social development of youth within a supportive church environment. As a Youth Pastor, you will lead engaging activities, foster meaningful relationships, and serve as a positive role model for young people navigating their faith journeys. The Youth Pastor aims to build disciples of Christ, equipping them to build their faith and share their faith with others. This role involves fostering spiritual growth, providing mentorship, and creating engaging programs that resonate with youth and point toward Christ. Their leadership will help shape the next generation by combining biblical teachings with practical life skills. Responsibilities The Youth Pastor will report to the Senior Pastor for spiritual and ministry guidance. Works in partnership with local schools, parents, church staff, and community organizations to effectively reach youth in the community and develop strategic ministry outreach initiatives. Design, implement, and oversee the discipleship and spiritual formation strategy for families, children and students cultivating habits of Scripture study, prayer, generosity, and community belonging. Utilize curriculum and training structures for Sunday School, VBS, Middle School and High School Bible-study groups, multigenerational discipleship, in conjunction with the Senior Pastor. Teach, lead, and disciple 5-35 students each Wednesday and Sunday, fostering an environment of open communication, ensuring youth feel heard, respected, and motivated to grow in their faith. Develop and implement dynamic youth programs, events, and activities that promote spiritual development and community engagement Support youth through significant life events such as grief, loss, or personal crises by offering compassionate bereavement support and guidance when appropriate. Plan fundraising initiatives to support youth programs and outreach activities. Intentionally take time each week for personal spiritual formation and professional development. Requirements Fully embrace and support Southern Baptist Convention theology and faith statement. Ability to teach and communicate the Word of God in an engaging and relatable manner. Experience working with youth. Must possess strong communication skills and a desire to be active in the community. Should be able to act with minimal supervision and provide guidance to church leadership. Have a clear testimony to a saving, sanctifying, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Model a Christ-like lifestyle and a passion to disciple others about Jesus Christ.
