Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Staff Chaplain is responsible for the provision of professional spiritual care to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference. Chaplain serves alongside interdisciplinary health care colleagues to create holistic care community to provide whole person care within the facility they serve. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited college or university. Graduate professional degree from an accredited theological school. Four Units of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or
NACC. PREFERRED EDUCATION
Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school. One year residency from an accredited ACPE center
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of one year.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Clinical pastoral experience of two (2) years. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of two (2) years.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
Association of Professional Chaplains board certification (BCC) eligible; and ecclesiastical endorsement.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
Certification (BCC) by the Association of Professional Chaplains or an affiliate cognate group.
