JOB DESCRIPTION
Youth Ministry Director (Part-Time) Mission Statement The overall goal of the Youth Ministry Director (Elementary through High School) is to build disciples for Christ. The Youth Ministry Director will help Evers Road Christian Church (ERCC) reach, love, and make disciples of our youth, equipping them to share their faith with others while building up a growing and healthy next generation of leaders and disciples for Jesus Christ at ERCC. Supervision The Youth Ministry Director reports to the Senior Minister for spiritual and ministry guidance. The Senior Minister provides an annual evaluation of the Youth Ministry Director's performance, based on an agreed plan. Qualifications and Aptitudes A personal, active, and growing personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ Spend time in prayer to be in tune with God's plan for your ministry Displays mature spiritual leadership with a servant's heart Has an "extra mile" mentality Able to identify and empathize with the personal and individual needs of a child Personable, friendly, warm, and approachable Ability to plan and execute curriculum Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree (or the pursuit of a bachelor's degree) in the field of Education, Early Childhood Development, Christian Education, Children's Ministry, or equivalent experience, is desired Responsibilities Pray continually for children, parents, staff, community and the lost Attendance expected at various churchwide activities in addition to weekend services. Regular meetings, communication, prayer, and encouragement will be expected in an effort to build relationships within the paid staff, church leadership, and volunteers in a teamwork environment Serve primarily in the area of youth ministry, but also support the overall ministries of ERCC Plan and execute youth programs that include: Sunday morning youth worship service Sunday evening Bible study Monthly Youth Fellowship program Summer Vacation Bible School Community Outreach Events Additional responsibilities may include: Hospital calls Teaching Attending student extra-curricular school events, when possible Supporting other church activities when needed, etc. Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, leading and encouraging teams of volunteers Collaborate with the Senior Minister, staff, and Elders for overall effective ministry planning Help plan and oversee special events such as summer Vacation Bible School (VBS), Child Dedication, Youth Camp, Fall Festival Party, Community Outreach, Fund raising events, etc Ensure thorough and efficient communication with parents and volunteers regarding updates, and curriculum details, via newsletter, flyers and social media as well as prompt replies to emails, voicemails and mail received Ensure that the Child Protection Policy is observed in all youth ministry settings.

Part-time, Salaried (Commensurate with Education/Experience). Reports to
Senior Minister HOURS:
15-20 per week This job description may include other duties as assigned by the Senior Minister and Elders which are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications of the position.
