Bethel Hope Worship Leader (Part-Time) Bethel Bible Church - Hope Campus 504 W 32nd St., Tyler, TX 75704 Position Summary The Worship Minister leads the congregation in musical worship and oversees the planning and execution of weekly worship services. This part-time role combines musical leadership, spiritual sensitivity, and organizational coordination to help create meaningful worship experiences for the church community. Reports To Associate Pastor / Church Leadership Key Responsibilities Worship Planning Select songs each week that align with the sermon theme, worship flow, and congregation's spiritual needs Prepare song arrangements, keys, and order of service in advance Coordinate with pastoral staff on the overall service structure Rehearsal Leadership Plan and lead weekly rehearsal on Thursday evenings Lead a brief run-through/sound check on Sunday mornings prior to the service Coach and encourage volunteer musicians and vocalists Sunday Worship Leadership Lead worship during the Sunday morning Worship Service Set a tone of authentic, engaging worship for the congregation Communicate clearly with the worship team and sound/tech volunteers during the service Qualifications Required Willing to become a member of Bethel Bible Church Ability to sing well and lead congregational singing Proficiency in guitar or piano Strong sense of musicality, timing, and pitch Comfortable leading and directing a team of volunteer musicians Reliable, well-organized, and able to plan ahead each week Preferred Piano proficiency preferred over guitar Prior experience leading worship in a church setting Basic knowledge of sound/audio equipment Ability to arrange music for a small worship band Time Commitment Part-time position Weekly commitment includes: Song selection and preparation (self-paced during the week) Thursday evening rehearsal Sunday morning rehearsal/sound check Sunday morning Worship Service Personal Qualities In substantial agreement with Bethel Bible Church's Full Doctrinal Statement Team-oriented with strong communication skills Teachable spirit and willingness to collaborate with pastoral leadership Dependable and consistent in weekly commitments
