Job Description

Who We Are CenterPoint Church is a multi-site faith-family of 2200 people and growing, affiliated with the EFCA denomination. We re positioned strategically in Orem, a sister city to Provo & the center of Utah county. 20 minutes from the Sundance Ski Resort and even less from the back country of the Wasatch mountain range, we're planted amongst an outdoor adventure culture. Who We re Reaching The cities we reach in this community consist of over 750,000 people, over 80% of which profess faith in Mormonism and the LDS Church. Positioned a half mile from our campus is the largest university in the state, Utah Valley University, with 41,000 students. Just over 3 miles away is the LDS-owned university, BYU, with 31,000 enrolled. We are positioned amongst the two, in the youngest city/county/state in the nation where the average age is 23. The potential to reach this demographic is largely unmet. Our mission is to make Jesus the Centerpoint of people's lives and making him known from the CenterPoint of this unique, unreached valley. Who We re Hiring We re looking for a driven and relational leader with a passion for high school students. This person should be eager to equip teams and leaders to disciple students, build strong relationships, and help them grow in ownership of their faith. This role is ideal for someone who may be earlier in their ministry journey but is excited to take initiative, learn leadership skills, and help shape a growing high school ministry. Job Description Plan & co-lead combined Youth Sunday Morning services year-round targeted towards junior high and high school students. This includes recruiting & leading volunteer leaders, live teaching and other programming to engage this age group. Plan & lead Wednesday evening Youth Group programs in fall & winter semesters targeted towards high school students. This also includes recruiting & leading volunteers, coordinating games, small groups, and setting up intentional discussions to further engage this age group. Plan, prepare, and execute High School Summer Camp, along with other special events Meet regularly with the CP Youth team to collaborate for weekly programs & events. (Junior High Director, Worship Coordinator, CP Youth Admin) Equip and mobilize volunteer teams to engage the unique context of this valley through the mission/vision culture of CenterPoint Church? Build intentional relationships with students and engage their parents well through consistent communication Prepare curriculum for large and small groups, taking into consideration the unique developmental needs of your age group, meeting them where they are at in their faith journey With the help of your volunteers, maintain youth venue to be clean, organized and inviting for your junior high & high school students Meet regularly with the Family Pastor for support and feedback. Participate in weekly staff & prayer meetings to collaborate and maintain unity as a staff

Experience & Education Education:
Relevant BA/BS degree preferred or in progress Background in Youth Ministry, Family Ministry, or 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in those areas A well-rounded, first hand understanding of Utah s unique religious landscape.
