Job Description

About Us:

Liberty Baptist Church is a vibrant church dedicated to sharing the Gospel and making disciples of all ages. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Pastor to lead our youth ministry (grades 6-12) and help our young people grow in their faith, build strong relationships, and live out their calling as followers of Jesus Christ. To learn more about our church, visit www.libertybconline.org The Youth Pastor will oversee all aspects of our youth ministry, providing spiritual leadership, mentorship, and support to our youth and their families. This role involves planning and leading engaging programs, teaching biblical truths, and fostering a welcoming environment where youth can connect with God and one another. The ideal candidate will have a heart for young people, a commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and a desire to partner with parents and church leadership to build a thriving ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program, including weekly youth group meetings, overseeing youth Sunday School, and discipleship opportunities. Plan and lead events, such as retreats, mission trips, service projects, and fun activities, to foster spiritual growth and fellowship. Preach and teach age-appropriate lessons rooted in Scripture, aligning with Baptist doctrine. Provide pastoral care, counseling, and encouragement to youth and their families. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of adult volunteers to support youth ministry. Collaborate with the Lead and Associate Pastor and church leadership to integrate the youth ministry into the church's broader vision. Establish relationships with local schools and community organizations to connect with unchurched youth. Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, meetings, and involvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of faith. Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred but not required). Alignment with Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Previous experience in youth ministry or working with teens (volunteer or paid). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to connect with youth and relate to their challenges in today's culture. A team player with a collaborative spirit and a teachable heart. Must pass a background check and adhere to church safety policies.

Salary:

$20,000 to 25,000 (annual salary range) How to
