Job Description
Spiritual Care Coordinator - Hospice Nayar Hospice is looking for a compassionate Spiritual Care Coordinator to join our team! At Nayar Hospice, we believe caring for our patients means caring for the whole person—and supporting their families along the way. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable providing spiritual support to patients and families during one of the most meaningful and challenging times in their lives. What You'll Do Visit patients and families identified as appropriate for spiritual care services. Provide spiritual support, counseling, prayer, and ministry as appropriate to the patient's beliefs and wishes. Support patients and families as they navigate end-of-life care and the dying process. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address spiritual and emotional needs. Help the care team understand the spiritual concerns that may impact a patient's or family's response to illness and end of life. Serve as a liaison and resource to community clergy and spiritual leaders involved in the care of hospice patients and families. Provide care that respects and supports each patient's individual beliefs, values, and traditions. Qualifications Candidates must meet at least ONE of the following: Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religion, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, as required by state-specific regulations. Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Theology, Divinity, or a related field. Preferred. Minimum of one unit of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE)-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. If the degree is from a non-accredited institution, AVPO approval is required prior to hire. Why Nayar Hospice?
