About This Role The role of the Worship Leader is to lead the music worship ministry at Hope. The Worship Leader develops a music worship ministry that is inspiring and engaging, which encourages the congregation to enter into corporate and personal worship to the glory of God. Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Worship Leader Plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead the music for weekend services. Maintain a high-quality worship ministry through the recruiting and developing of instrumentalists and vocalists. Meet weekly with the Creative Pastor to review past services and plan for future services. Discover and introduce new songs that speak to the current culture of the congregation. Assist in planning and/or leading worship for special events outside of weekend services. Direct the weekly planning activities and rehearsals necessary to accomplish worship in weekend services. Assist in the responsible stewardship of the worship department budget, volunteers, and other resources. Set annual goals for the worship ministry that align with the overall mission, vision, and church-wide annual goals. Maintain the music library, instruments, and license agreements. Strengths & Skillset Testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him. Commitment to the mission and vision of Hope Tri-Cities and excellence in ministry. A passion for worship and a humble, team-oriented heart. Skilled instrumentalist and quality vocalist. Knowledgeable in sound, lighting, and audio recording is a plus. Your Team This position reports to the Associate Pastor. This position works closely with a Technical Lead and a team of worship ministry volunteers.
