Job Description

Overview PRN Earn Extra Money Join dedicated team as a Resident Assistant and become a vital part of creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents in long-term care or assisted living settings. In this energetic role, you will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and foster a warm community atmosphere. Your efforts will directly enhance residents' quality of life, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and cared for every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in healthcare and senior support. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols to ensure safety and compliance Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas to promote hygiene and comfort Document resident interactions, health updates, and care activities accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and community involvement Requirements Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is essential Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents' independence Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required by the role Certification or training in caregiving, medication administration, dementia care or Alzheimer's care is a plus Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in making a positive impact on residents' lives! $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
