Per Diem- Resident Assistant Hamptons Manor Hemet, CA Job Details Per diem $19 - $21 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid training Disability insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification Vital signs Housekeeping assistance Meal preparation Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Job Overview The Resident Assistant provides compassionate, daily living assistance to residents in a recuperative care and short-term post-hospitalization setting. Key responsibilities include aiding in meal preparation, housekeeping, monitoring health status, oversight of medications, and providing companionship. Resident Aides maintain a safe, clean-living environment and reports changes to appropriate staff. Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete temperature and vital sign checks once every shift
- Provide resident oversight with medication oversight and reminders
- Document shift summary for each resident into the EMR system that consists of incidents, observations from visiting disciplines, crises, violations, emergencies, etc.
- Responsible for enforcing daily rules, assisting with resident needs, and ensuring overall safety of facility
- Conduct routine wellness checks and facility walk-throughs ever 2-hrs to monitor client safety, behavior and overall wellness.
- Knowledge of where residents are during shift and ensure all residents log in and out when leaving the facility
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled searches of client belongings to ensure compliance with site rules and to prevent prohibited items from entering the facility
- Provide crisis intervention and possess de-escalation skills
- Utilize de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques as necessary
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for residents
- Responsible for preparing nutritious meals for all residents while taking all dietary restrictions and guidelines into consideration
- Prepare meals in accordance with food safety guidelines (proper food storage, temperature control, hand hygiene, cross-contamination prevention)
- Familiar with any allergies, food, or other allergies, residents may have and ensure that they're documented and respected
- Support and follow up on transportation that may be missing and/or late if the appointment falls within the shift
- Sanitize all kitchen surfaces and equipment before and after every meal service, including counter tops, prep areas, cutting boards, and utensils
- Ensure dining areas are cleaned and disinfected after every meal, including tables, chairs, and serving stations
- Perform any other duties assigned by leadership to support client care and facility operations.
- Maintain a sanitary environment using universal precautions, including proper PPE usage and the safe handling/disposal of bodily fluids.
- Perform routine janitorial duties daily, including: o Sweeping and mopping all floors, including resident rooms o Vacuuming carpet areas o Emptying trash bins and replacing liners o Cleaning windows, walls, ceiling fans, and vents weekly Skills

- Basic computer skills, including ability to send and receive emails and summarize data
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Six (6) months of experience as a caregiver or related field preferred
- Experience working with the homeless, substance abuse, mental health with dual diagnosis population preferred
- Valid CPR certification. Must be completed within 30 days of employment
- Valid Food Handler Certificate/Food Handler Permit.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 32.0 per weekBenefits:
