About Peer Connect Peer Connect is a recovery‑oriented organization providing peer‑based support services that strengthen engagement in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Residential Recovery Programs . Our work is grounded in lived experience, mutuality, and practical support that helps individuals translate treatment into everyday life, community connection, and long‑term recovery. Position Overview Peer Recovery Coaches provide non‑clinical, recovery‑oriented support to individuals enrolled in IOP and residential treatment programs. This role bridges structured treatment and real‑world application by helping participants build routines, life skills, accountability, and recovery capital. Peer Recovery Coaches do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or clinical treatment . Instead, they serve as life‑skills mentors, recovery role models, and community supports , working collaboratively with clinical and residential teams while maintaining clear peer boundaries. What You'll Do Peer Support & Engagement Provide one‑on‑one peer support sessions aligned with participant recovery goals Encourage consistent engagement in IOP or residential programming Model recovery‑oriented behavior, healthy boundaries, and accountability Life Skills & Community Support Support daily living skills such as time management, routines, organization, and self‑advocacy Encourage healthy community involvement and prosocial activities Assist participants in building recovery capital (housing stability, employment readiness, support networks) Group Support Facilitate or co‑facilitate peer‑led or life‑skills groups Reinforce skills learned in treatment through peer‑based discussion and practice Documentation & Coordination Accurately document services provided in accordance with program and payer requirements Submit documentation aligned with client engagement hours and payroll submission timelines Communicate professionally with Peer Connect staff and partner programs What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Lived experience in recovery COPA Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification or QBHA certification Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical peer practice Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in IOP or residential treatment settings Group facilitation or life‑skills coaching experience Familiarity with recovery‑oriented systems of care Compensation & Work Structure Hourly pay based on documented client engagement hours Payroll is driven by verified service delivery and required documentation Hours may vary depending on program census and client engagement Why Work With Peer Connect Meaningful work supporting individuals in treatment and recovery Clear non‑clinical peer role that protects boundaries and scope Flexible scheduling aligned with program needs Opportunity to grow into advanced peer or life‑skills coaching roles Peer Connect is an equal opportunity employer.
