HARTFORD JOB CORPS CENTER
- Lead Residential Advisor needed to work afternoon/evening shift including weekends. Supervise and coordinate residential living operations. Provide staff supervision of all student living areas at levels that assure the safety, security and accountability of all students. Share information via postings, email, and meetings to ensure student and staff accountability. Fulfill all non-health standing orders. Brief incoming shift supervisors before departure. Briefings include sharing the condition of sick or injured students, incidents, and safety and security matters. Ensure room checks are completed, enter case notes, and enter pertinent information into logbook. Be an example to students as they develop important independent living skills. Use sound judgment and discretion to resolve student issues and concerns. Provide individualized case management and case note student activities and interactions. Participate in seasonal cleaning and redecorating activities. Must be mature, well-organized, and set a good example. Proficient working in a variety of databases including Excel, Outlook & Word.. Because the DOL classifies Res staff as essential workers, RAs must arrive to work on time (including snow days), remain awake during the entire shift, and communicate absences well ahead of scheduled start times. Collaboration and clear communication are essential. Two paid breaks and one hour unpaid meal break. $22.21/hour. Some college or post-high school studies preferred. One year of supervisory experience.. Valid driver's license w/good driving record. Equal opportunity employer.
