THE POSITION
Site Advisor By residing in a rented apartment at Promise House, the Site Advisor will serve as a resource to address questions or concerns of young adult renters and will ensure the community areas are tidy at the end of each day. The Site Advisor will promote a safe environment by monitoring activity on site and reporting any disruptive or unsafe activity. The Site Advisor will be available in case of emergency by intervening when appropriate and/or by calling emergency services as necessary. Duties & Responsibilities Must be able to live on site at Promise House Maintain office hours for 2 hours each evening to address questions or concerns of residents, minimum 4 days Monday through Friday. Maintain office hours for 2 hours on either Saturday or Sunday at a regular time that is convenient for the Site Advisor. Assist tenants with understanding and abiding by the components of their lease Provide general monitoring and oversight of activity in the building by completing rounds at least once a day, receiving resident complaints, and receiving reports about building or apartment issues that require follow-up from property manager. The Site Advisor may mediate conflict between renters. Report unsafe activity or incidents. Ensure that there is no smoking in the building. Attend training on de-escalation strategies and use learned techniques during resident conflicts. Model positive and healthy communication and responsible behavior for residents. Keep common areas clean and free of clutter and waste Complete recordkeeping and clerical duties as instructed. Effectively utilizes appropriate communication to transfer information to case manager regarding the day's events. Provide conflict resolution; promote productive communication and problem solving between residents. Demonstrate calm demeanor in circumstances that require immediate intervention. Contact emergency services when required. Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards. Participates in supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned. Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) . Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
Experience in human services preferred, experience with adolescent or young adult population preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Valid driver's license required with good driving record. Acquire and Maintain certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention through agency training. Why Join CHR?

COMPENSATION
  • : $19.
28/hr minimum, and up commensurate upon experience. Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives.
