Cleaning Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Residential Housing Monitor is responsible for ensuring safety, cleanliness, structure, respectful supportive residential environment, and smooth operation of the residence during assigned hours. This role includes enforcing program policies, addressing resident concerns, and serving as the first point of contact for emergencies. This position does not provide clinical treatment or make independent clinical decisions but works closely with case managers, clinical personnel, program leadership, and other authorized staff to communicate concerns affecting resident safety, stability, and successful participation in the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site supervision to maintain a safe, clean, and respectful living environment.
• Enforce program rules and policies consistently and fairly.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property to ensure safety, cleanliness, and order.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, maintenance issues, and resident needs during assigned hours.
• De-escalate conflicts and follow crisis intervention protocols when necessary.
• Never use threats, humiliation, intimidation, retaliation, or unnecessary confrontation when addressing resident behavior.
• Maintain accurate incident, maintenance, and shift reports.
• Monitor visitor access in accordance with program policy.
• Maintain awareness of residents who may require enhanced monitoring based on instructions provided by authorized program or clinical personnel.
• Complete required head counts, wellness checks, and facility rounds.
• Monitor and maintain the resident sign-in/sign-out process and visitor logs as required.
• Perform light housekeeping in common areas and report any health or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with program staff to support residents and maintain a positive living environment.
• Refrain from lending or borrowing money, accepting inappropriate gifts, establishing personal relationships, transporting residents without authorization, or engaging in other dual relationships with program participants.
• Participate in shift-change communication and review relevant information necessary for resident and facility safety.

Physical and Environmental Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The position may involve:

• Sitting for extended periods while completing documentation.
• Walking throughout the residential facility.
• Lifting over 25 pounds
• Responding promptly to behavioral health emergencies.
• Working in environments where residents may experience emotional distress, behavioral escalation, or psychiatric symptoms.
• Operating computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
• Occasional schedule adjustments in response to program or crisis needs.
• Travel to program sites in Miami-Dade and Broward.

Work Schedule:

Shift will vary according to the needs of the program.

First shift:

7:00am-3:30pm Second shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Third shift: 11:00pm-7:30am Must be flexible to work any day of the week as program needs arise. Additional hours may be assigned during holidays or emergencies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in residential programs or similar settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Aptitude to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergencies.
• Capacity to maintain accurate documentation.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening (per program requirements).

Pay:

$38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
