Residential Advisor

About us Zion Integrated Behavioral Health Services is looking for a part-time Residential Advisor for our substance use disorder residential facility and halfway house program for adult males that is currently located in Clarinda, IA. The residential program will be moving to Atlantic, IA in the near future. We provide quality treatment services in a supportive and welcoming environment. ZION Integrated Behavioral Health Services is a non-profit corporation formed to assure delivery of services for substance use disorder treatment and related problems. Our other services include prevention awareness, problem gambling, and outpatient substance use disorder and mental health treatment. We are looking for a part-time Residential Advisor to join our team and provide guidance and support to the individuals we serve. The ideal candidates will have experience working with diverse populations, be able to build strong relationships with the individuals being served, and have a passion for helping others. The Residential Advisor will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive living environment, providing crisis intervention when needed, facilitating activities and programs, and enforcing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Must have natural ability to connect with and help others Answer telephone calls that occur on a 24-hour basis and make appropriate referrals, demonstrating crisis intervention skills. Assure health, well being and safety of the individuals being served Support treatment goals as identified by the treatment team

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Knowledge of mental health and/or substance use disorders helpful.
