Job Description
SUMMARY Provide activities of daily living training and support to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities that will enhance their quality of life in a residential setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED One year of specializing training within the DD/ MI population must maintain CPR, first aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications Ability to meet the established Illinois Department of Human Services DSP training Proof of auto insurance and good driving recordRESPONSIBILITIES
Provide daily supervision of group home residents with primary responsibilities for household, recreational, community activities, maintenance of the residents programming and facilities. Ensure safe living conditions for all persons served Train individuals to perform various tasks necessary to improve personal skills Assist, supervise and/or prepare meals and provide basic guidance in the fundamentals of basic cooking skills Supervise home care, hygiene and laundry programs Monitor and document residence self-administration of medication Provide daily supervision of group residents with primary responsibilities for recreational community activities Consultation with residents, caseworkers, and/ or significant othersBenefits
