Position:
Part-Time, Recurring Residential Assignment Position Overview I am seeking an experienced, professional personal protection/residential security professional to provide a protective presence for me within my private residence. This position is primarily focused on my personal safety and maintaining a calm, secure environment in the home. I am specifically seeking someone with professional security, executive/personal protection, law-enforcement, military, corrections, or comparable safety experience who also possesses excellent judgment and strong verbal de-escalation skills. This is an unarmed position . A minor adolescent lives in the residence and can periodically experience significant behavioral escalation. The purpose of this position is not to discipline, treat, supervise, or unnecessarily confront the minor. The security professional's responsibility is to maintain awareness of the environment, help protect me from potential harm, assist me in safely disengaging from escalating situations, and summon law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Responsibilities Maintain a professional protective presence within the residence Remain alert to developing safety concerns Position appropriately to help ensure the client's safety and access to an exit Use calm verbal de-escalation and conflict-avoidance techniques when appropriate Help the client disengage and move to a safer location when circumstances warrant Avoid unnecessary confrontation or escalation Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding the household Document significant security incidents when requested Contact police, EMS, or other emergency services when appropriate Follow clearly established emergency and residential safety protocols Qualifications Strong preference will be given to candidates with professional experience in: Personal or executive protection Residential security Professional security services Law enforcement Corrections Military protective/security assignments Crisis intervention or behavioral de-escalation CPI, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Mental Health First Aid, or comparable de-escalation/crisis training is particularly desirable.

Be at least 21 years old Possess any Illinois licensing/credentials legally required for the services being provided Have professional security or comparable protective experience Be physically capable of performing the ordinary functions of a residential protection assignment Demonstrate excellent situational awareness and judgment Remain calm under pressure Have strong conflict-avoidance and verbal de-escalation skills Be dependable and punctual Maintain strict confidentiality Provide verifiable professional references Be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check Important This is not an armed-security position , and I am not seeking someone to intimidate, punish, discipline, or unnecessarily physically confront any household member. The objective is prevention, personal protection, de-escalation, safe disengagement, and obtaining emergency assistance when necessary. Schedule & Compensation Anticipated schedule is approximately five days per week , primarily during afternoon and evening hours. Exact days and hours can be discussed.
