This position is responsible for providing appropriate monitoring of Guests to ensure their safety and security. The Residential Aide will assist the Guests with the preparation of meals and help with all daily living activities, including cleaning, life skills, and organizing living areas. The Residential Aide will also help residents maintain good mental and physical health and personal hygiene. Just Neighbors is an equal opportunity employer. This position is contingent upon funding, including funding through grants and services. Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with experience in human services, case management, social services, housing, health care, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal) and ability to respect and interact with staff, clients, volunteers, community partners and the public.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, attention to detail, well organized, and demonstrate dependability and timeliness in performing needed tasks.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License
• Passion and enthusiasm for the mission of Just Neighbors.
• Ability to pass Indiana State and County of Residence background checks.
• Eligibility to work in the United States. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable Individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Provides supportive services to Just Neighbors families.
• Supervises the families and provides compassionate emotional and physical care.
• Maintains control of Guests, including attending to Guests needs and enforcing rules.
• Documents all pertinent Guest information in Communication Log.
• Responsible for answering shelter calls in a courteous and professional manner, which also includes taking messages for unavailable staff.
• Supervises the Guests in the cleaning and upkeep of Shelter and surrounding grounds to ensure safety, health, good appearance, and good repair.
• Maintain open communication with other staff, volunteers, Guests and interns.
• Acts as a mandated reporter of child abuse and neglect.
• Receives and accepts donations. Obtain donor name and address using IHN Donation Receipt.
• Maintain ability to work in a crisis-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the Organization.
• Follows all Just Neighbors agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
