A Residential Assistant or Advisor works in a residential mental health, long-term care, or substance abuse treatment facility and provides support for patients, including resolving conflicts, helping them adjust to their environment, and alleviating concerns. Performs inspections and assists with move-ins and facility programming.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and positive living environment.
- Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with mobility and lifting for residents who require assistance.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of resident living areas.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
