The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in a senior living environment, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents, particularly those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, or dementia care needs. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support in a respectful and dignified manner. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain cleanliness in resident living areas and common spaces to ensure a safe environment. Provide direct support to residents with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Assist in behavior management strategies as required for residents with specific behavioral challenges. Experience Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with caregiving practices, including memory care techniques for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Experience working in home & community care environments or personal care homes is advantageous. Knowledge of social work principles or experience in group home settings is a plus. A valid driver's license may be required for transportation of residents as needed.
