Residential Counselor - part time every other weekend day shift Community Teamwork sick time, 401(k) United States, Massachusetts, Lowell Sep 05, 2026 Residential Counselor Part time: Every other Saturday and Sunday 8AM-4PM Pay Range $20.59 to $21.21 per hour Company Overview Community Teamwork is a private non-profit organization located in Lowell MA. Position Summary This Residential Counselor will work in our Shelter Staff program and will be responsible for working closely with clients in a congregate emergency residential shelter site, to provide life skills support to individuals who are staying at the shelter. This position also provides oversight of site operations, which include enforcing safety measures, program rules, and expectations using a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Ensure the safety of guests and the site

Enforce rules and regulations to ensure smooth operation of the site

Respond effectively to emergency situations, document appropriately, and communicate according to established guidelines

Complete the intake process for new guests

Provide support and structure, addressing guest/resident problems or concerns

Initiate crisis intervention when necessary

Record documentation as required by program guidelines

Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion The duties listed above are representative of the work performed. Other related duties may be assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent education

At least one year of previous experience working with individuals in need of social services (preferably low income individuals) is required

Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Excellent crisis management skills

Proficient computer skills in basic computer software and data collection
