Baltimore, MD Job Details Contract $18 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Experience working with individuals with disabilities Caregiving Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Experience working with adults with disabilities Patient interaction Personal service experience with elderly individuals CNA Full Job Description In this position you will:- Provide companionship to residents and establish a trusting relationship with them.
- Ensure that residents are taking their prescribed medications.
- Report any concerns or medical issues.
- Help residents schedule their appointments
- Ensure that the residents' living quarters are safe and well-organized
- Conduct random room inspections
- Keep a record of resident activity, behavior, and moods.
- Collaborate with management and coworkers to ensure residents receive the best quality of care possible.
- Accurately communicate information to clients and to staff in a concise manner.
- Other duties as assigned. A lign Practice with Safety and Quality
- Update the Residential Supervisor of any problems regarding the residence.
- Comply with the regulations and policies of the residence. Lead in the Practice Setting & Community
- Embody the culture of RBH core values to provide an exceptional and effective experience for our clients, funders, employees, and volunteers.
- Be capable of multi-tasking.
- Be a mature, pleasant adult, (this is subjective) able to relate to RBH client base.
- Be capable of managing emotions and frustrations when dealing with difficult situations pertaining to clients or the residence.
- Be knowledgeable about services available at RBH facility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Experience working within residential facilities with elderly or disabled people.
- First aid and CPR training preferrable.
- CNA or similar certification is a plus.
- Certified Medical Technician is a plus
- Friendly, professional demeanor.
- Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills.
- Good physical fitness.
