Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has an immediate opening for a motivated Children's Day Treatment Assistant to provide services for a day treatment classroom in Jones county, but is not limited to Greene, Wayne, and Perry counties. Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is looking for a positive and ambitious person who is great with communication skills to fill this position. The Children's Day Treatment Assistant must be able to problem solve, multi-task multiple projects, and think independently. Must be able to obtain Class D Driver's License within 30 days of hire. Experience working with children preferred. For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen county service area includes Amite, Franklin, Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne Counties.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Class D driver's license required within 30 days of hire Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required Behavioral health experience preferred Experience working in a classroom setting preferred
Responsibilities:
Monitors student behaviors and provides redirection when needed, including modeling appropriate behaviors. Assists the Master's degree Therapist in the classroom with instruction, clerical duties, and student activities. Provides transportation for the program using company van.
