Job Description
Transitional Living House Residential Support Specialist Job Description Primary Duties:
Residential Support Specialists will work with LGBTQ+ clients in the Lion House Program to support them in eliminating barriers, acquiring necessary documentation and providing accountability for goals set by clients/residents. The Residential Support Specialist will provide supervision of House Residents, complete necessary documentation, prepare meals as needed, clean the facility and other daily tasks as needed. This is not a healthcare facility.Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide supervision for House Residents. Conflict resolution between residents, when necessary. Maintain daily documentation of services provided. Attend all required staff meetings or make other arrangements with Youth House Lead. Interact with Residents during their shift. Maintain appropriate boundaries with Clients and Residents. Work collaboratively with Our Spot KC and Lion House staff to provide clients, residents and community members with the best possible services and programs. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Must be fully vaccinated againstCOVID-19
by the first day of employment. High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with operating systems (Windows or MacOS), Office suites (MS or G Suite), Presentation software (Powerpoint or similar), Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Etc.) and other case management software as needed. Be driven, self starter, accountable, organized, and compassionate. Ideal candidates will have experience in working with LGBTQ+ populations, have worked previously in social services and/or housing sectors. Ability to provide direct services to clients, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable access to transportation.Compensation and Benefits:
The Residential Support Specialist is an hourly, non-exempt position and will be compensated at a rate of $17-$19 per hour.Job Type:
