Family House Teen Shelter is seeking a compassionate Residential Counselor to provide overnight supervision and support to adolescents staying with us voluntarily.

Schedule:

Overnight, 11:00 PM-9:00

Full Time & Per Diem/Relief Pay:

$17.22/hour, plus an additional $2.00/hour overnight differential

Comprehensive benefits package available to full-time employees About the Role Residential Counselors help create a safe, calm, and supportive environment for youth experiencing family conflict, homelessness, mental health concerns, and other challenges. This is an awake overnight position requiring staff to remain awake, alert, and available to residents throughout the shift. Essential Responsibilities Provide overnight supervision and required safety checks. Respond calmly and appropriately to youth needs, crises, and emergencies. Build positive relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Complete required documentation and communicate relevant information to staff. Minimum Qualifications Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Relevant education, work, or life experience supporting youth. Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and required clearances. Scheduling Possibilities As a 24/7 residential program, Family House offers scheduling possibilities that may complement a variety of work and personal schedules.
