09/07/2026 Job Description Job Description General Description Responsible for providing supportive counseling and independent living skills training to assigned residents and assisting the Program Supervisor in implementing agency policies and procedures. Qualification and Competencies Minimum High School Diploma with (5) years' experience in a human service-related field. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Experience with mental health population or substance use disorder/treatment experience preferred Demonstrates organizational and communication skills which would enable effective interaction with agency staff, consumers/clients/families, and the community. Critical thinking and sound judgement skills are necessary. Duties and Responsibilities Support the Program Supervisor in daily program operations, staff coordination, 24-hour coverage, admissions, and overall program oversight when needed. Meet regularly with assigned residents and the Supervisor to coordinate services, monitor needs, and communicate program updates. Develop, implement, review, and update person-centered goals, service plans, and objectives with residents. Complete required documentation, progress notes, reports, chart work, audits, and financial records accurately and on time. Train and assist residents with daily living skills, medication self-administration, vocational/educational goals, socialization, recreation, transportation, and money management. Provide crisis and case management, behavioral interventions, collateral contacts, emergency notifications, treatment/discharge meeting participation, and response to resident calls. Maintain program safety and quality by conducting house meetings and inspections, supporting fire safety drills, attending trainings/meetings, following agency policies, developing improved procedures, covering other sites as needed, and completing other assigned duties.
