Overview Join our compassionate team as a Ursuline Assisted Living Resident Assistant, where your dedication will directly enhance the quality of life for our Sisters and residents. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering a warm, safe, and engaging environment. Your energy and empathy will help residents maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any health changes or concerns Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, using specialized techniques to promote comfort and safety Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and group exercises to promote mental and physical wellness Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping, bed making, laundry, room organization, and trash removal daily. Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for both residents and staff Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and memory care strategies Certification in First Aid is required; ongoing training provided if necessary Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide exceptional senior care and caregiving support This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through dedicated caregiving. Pay:
$14.00 - $14.50 per hour
