Job Description
Residential Specialist working with adults.
Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is a private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, and residential services in the Miami Valley. We offer housing options for adult clients needing fully staffed, safe housing and supportive services and are currently in need of a Residential Specialist. The goal of these facilities is to increase mental health stability while decreasing homelessness and hospitalization due to lack of resources. This is an entry level position as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist. Job responsibilities include working with clients on living independently from cleaning, cooking, managing the laundry schedule, engaging clients in social activities, self-care, and more. This position supports residents during outings in which they may be driving the group. Residential Specialists ensure a clean and safe environment by ensuring procedures are followed. Residential Specialists make a difference in the client's life by working with them to teach life skills.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working or supporting someone with a mental health diagnosis is strongly desired.
- A high school diploma/GED is required.
- A valid driver license and clean driving record for transportation duties is preferred.
- Writing and computer skills as this will be used to enter client notes into the Electronic Medical Records system.
- Weekend availability is required.
