Job Description

The Residential Aid must: Provide supervision of residents in housing environment, assuring resident compliance with facility rules and procedures Provide supervision of residents when off grounds Supervise visitations of residents and significant others Supervise, monitor, document resident self-medication Assist residents with development of daily living skills Document facility and resident activity in compliance with agency policy Interact with residents in a professional manner Demonstrate cultural competency with consumer population Perform light housekeeping and safety tasks Work collaboratively with other staff Provide/schedule transportation for residents and activities Housing and grocery inventory Monitor Drug Screening Secondary functions are duties, skills and attitudes that are not exclusive to this position and may be performed by other positions. Secondary functions are performed for the overall operation of sober housing and the agency.
The Residential Aid must:
Communicate effectively with others Maintain privacy of consumers and others Participate in performance improvement Support agency mission and values Participate in agency training Perform other duties as assigned Qualification/Requirements High School Diploma/GED Prior work experience in chemical dependency/12 Step Recovery preferred Ability to maintain accurate and timely records CPR/First Aid Certification Valid Ohio Driver's License and insurability All credential/background checks free of disqualifying offenses
