Start Date:
January 2027 Carl Albert State College, in collaboration with Northeastern State University, is seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant position within the Office of Student Life. This is a two-year appointment designed for individuals pursuing graduate studies at NSU while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of Student Life at Carl Albert State College.
Responsibilities:
The Graduate Assistant will support the Vice President of Student Life as well as the Housing and Student Activities coordinators in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: Providing administrative support to the Student Life office, including daily operations, office management, and communication. Gather data and evaluate the effectiveness of student life programs and services. Assisting with the planning, executing, and promoting of Student Life events and activities. Assist with Residential Housing programs and needs. Performing other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Life and/or Housing and Student Activities coordinators.
Compensation:
(20-hour work week) Full tuition waiver for graduate studies at Northeastern State University Semester stipend ($3,000.00 per semester) On-campus room and board at Carl Albert State College (Housing availability is limited; family and married housing is unavailable. Couples accepted into the GA program may share accommodations.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (required) Admission into a graduate program at Northeastern State University by January 2027 Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Interested applicants should prepare a résumé, cover letter, and list of references at employment@carlalbert.edu.
