DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the daily living needs, training plans, and individualized services of residents in assigned program areas. It focuses on providing active treatment, assisting with Individual Support Plans, and communicating essential information to the interdisciplinary team. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:

Training Support:

Conduct specified training activities and assist with skill development based on each Individual Support Plan

ISP Assistance:

Complete designated assessment tasks and contribute information to support accurate and effective planning

Team Communication:

Share updates with the interdisciplinary team on strengths, needs, incidents, and daily living activities

Environment Support:

Assist with selecting and organizing personal items, furniture, and equipment to maintain a therapeutic environment

Role Modeling:

Demonstrate professionalism, protect individual rights, and advocate for personal dignity

Incident Reporting:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, on a rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

Overtime is required.

Travel as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
