Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant and become a vital part of creating a supportive, safe, and engaging environment for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care settings. In this energetic role, you will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and foster a warm community atmosphere. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs regularly to track health status and report any concerns promptly Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents' emotional well-being through social engagement, companionship, and recreational activities tailored to individual interests Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation practices in compliance with driving policies Experience Prior experience in long-term care, home & community care, or personal care homes is highly desirable Knowledge of assisted living environments and familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's/dementia is preferred Experience working with EMR systems for documentation and medication management is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform first aid and respond effectively to emergencies in caregiving settings Proven skills in behavior management, social work principles, and supporting residents' independence are beneficial Hands-on experience with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assisting with ADLs enhances your effectiveness in this role Valid driver's license for transportation duties is a plus Join us to empower residents through compassionate support and dedicated caregiving.
