In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to residents, promote a safe and engaging environment, and assist with daily activities to enhance their quality of life. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Provide compassionate dementia and Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques. Support residents with assisted living needs by helping with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment. Engage residents through social activities, companionship, and recreational programs tailored to individual preferences. Respond promptly to emergency situations or incidents, including assisting with transfers or using mobility aids as needed. Skills Proven experience in long-term care, home & community care, or personal care homes with familiarity in assisted living environments. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Certifications or experience in first aid and CPR are highly valued. Ability to accurately take vital signs and assist with medication administration following safety protocols. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Experience operating EMR systems for documentation purposes. Capable of driving when necessary for resident outings or appointments; valid driver's license preferred. Demonstrated caregiving skills including behavior management, personal care assistance, and group home experience.
