Job Description

The Resident Assistant (evening shift is 3pm to 11pm) is responsible for providing personal care services, assistance and support to our residents. This position is also responsible for assisting and overseeing our residents in their activities of daily living as required. Teamwork is required in all aspects of our community's operations and specifically in the provision of any services for our residents. By following the standards of care and policies and procedures of our facility, all employees will deliver the highest level of personal care service and hospitality to our residents, families, guests and fellow employees. The Resident Assistant job duties include but are not limited to the following: Read and understand the resident service plan for the residents in area of responsibility. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility. Monitor the health, safety and well-being of the residents, document and report information pertaining to changes in a resident's functional status, personal needs, appointments etc. and report during the same shift. Respond to resident emergencies as appropriate for training and position. Arrange for medical attention as necessary. Arrange for transportation for the residents. Transport the residents using the community vehicle if listed as a designated driver. Encourage socialization among residents. Encourage and/or remind residents to participate in activities. Change bedding for the residents weekly. Assist residents with their personal laundry including linens and towels if required. Assist in keeping all aspects of the residents' environment safe. Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures related to position/employment including attending required or assigned training and education sessions. Follow established safety regulations and use equipment and supplies in a safe manner including reporting all unsafe equipment and hazards. Maintain confidentiality of all resident or employee information as required. Document actions by completing forms, logs, records as required.
Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
