Position Summary ARC is seeking an experienced Life Coach (Case Manager) for an exciting new training program for Transitional Age Youth (TAY). This program is located at Camp Gonzalez in Calabasas, formerly used as a juvenile detention facility. The program's focus is on training young men aged 18-27 to become Firefighters. This is an amazing opportunity to transform a former detention facility into a campus that offers life-changing careers to young men aged 18-25. This position will report directly to the Program Manager. The Life Coach's primary responsibilities include providing direct supervision and case management services to emerging adult clients enrolled in this program. The Life Coach will meet weekly with members to assist in their success in the program, track progress, generate Individual Service Plans, teach a curriculum of life skills, and provide support for their success in the program.

HOURS NEEDED

MON- FRI 1:30 PM - 10 PM PST Candidates who have been directly system-impacted are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Provide individualized case management, advocacy, and referral services to emerging adults (18-25 years old). Conduct needs evaluations to be utilized in conjunction with the preparation, review, and updating of individual service plans.

Focus on heavy database management:

case notes, individual service plans, intakes, group notes, incident reports, assessments, etc., potentially in multiple databases. Monitor participant progress and regularly confer with partnering agencies onsite concerning program progress and transition planning; document accordingly. Attend all ARC staff meetings, case conferences, organizational gatherings, retreats, and conferences, as requested. Provide support to participants in accessing mainstream benefits. Engage clients in individual case management sessions on a weekly basis to discuss progress/regression of service plan goals, identify ongoing service needs, and provide linkage to resources as needed. Provide referrals for group and/or individual mental health counseling; educational, vocational, and/or employment preparation and placement services; and a variety of social and recreational activities. Ensure all newly arriving members participate in a comprehensive needs assessment within 24 hours of program entry. Facilitate groups, including cooking, basic computer skills, employment preparation, budgeting skills, activities of daily living, and others relevant to the development of independent living skills. Participate in continuing education trainings and community-based provider meetings as assigned. Develop resources through outreach and collaboration with community providers. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure adherence to safety and security measures. Participate in/coordinate interventions between partnering agencies and participants when participants show signs of struggling in the program. Administer urinalysis tests for substance use. Monitor the site for the overall security and safety of participants, staff, and the program. Transport clients to appointments, events, and activities as needed, using a company vehicle. Perform all other duties/projects as assigned. Qualifications The Life Coach must have either an Associate Degree (or greater) in a related field or must be enrolled in college working toward a degree. This person must also be well-versed in the obstacles and barriers facing system-impacted individuals in the employment and educational arenas. Lived experience is considered an asset. The Life Coach should have the following experience and attributes: 2 YEARS

Flexible and self-starter; ability to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented. Able to adapt to a trauma-informed environment to support members and staff. Excellent people skills, with experience in collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to ARC's mission. Strong and effective problem-solving skills. Salary/Benefits Pay range:

$24.04/hr. - $27/hr. doe. Multiple employer medical/dental/ vision plans with up to 100% employee coverage, 50% for dependents.
