Overview Lead Outreach Worker (Senior Outreach Specialist)

Status:
Full-Time Position Overview This is not a typical outreach role. We are looking for a high-level outreach professional who can operate like a supervisor in the field without the title mand take ownership of growing MBI's presence, partnerships, and admissions pipeline across Los Angeles County. This individual will serve as a bridge between the streets, systems, and stakeholders bringing MBI directly to: Courts and judicial systems Probation and parole offices Clinics and treatment providers Housing programs and case management teams Community-based organizations You are not just passing out flyers you are opening doors, building pipelines, and driving admissions. Core Responsibilities1. High-Level Outreach & Relationship Development Build and maintain relationships with: Judges, court staff, and judicial partners Probation and parole officers Case managers and program directors Clinic administrators and behavioral health providers Housing providers (SROs, shelters, transitional housing) Represent MBI in professional settings with credibility and confidence Secure referrals and formal/informal partnerships 2. Admissions Pipeline Development Actively convert outreach contacts into enrolled members Coordinate same-day or next-day intakes Utilize field-based tools (iPads, insurance verification) to enroll in real time Ensure continuity from first contact → intake → first service 3. Community Presence & Brand Expansion Introduce and position MBI as a go-to behavioral health provider Lead outreach efforts at: Community events Courts and justice-involved settings Local organizations and referral networks Identify new outreach opportunities and expand into new service areas 4. Technology & Data Utilization Use EMR systems (e.g., Credible EMR) and outreach tracking tools Maintain accurate records of: Contacts made Referral sources Admissions generated Leverage data to improve outreach strategy and performance 5. Field Leadership (Without Formal Title) Serve as a lead presence in the field Support and guide other outreach staff by example Help structure outreach routes, events, and engagement strategies Communicate trends, barriers, and opportunities to leadership Performance Expectations (This Role Is Measured) This is a results-driven position . Performance will be tracked weekly and monthly. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Number of new professional contacts established Number of active referral relationships built Number of weekly outreach engagements Number of verified insurance checks completed in the field Number of intakes scheduled Number of admissions completed (PRIMARY METRIC) Bottom line: Contacts → Relationships → Admissions QualificationsRequired Minimum 3-4 years in outreach, behavioral health, case management, or related field Strong ability to engage high-level stakeholders (courts, providers, agencies) Experience working with: Homeless populations Mental health and/or substance use populations Comfortable working in both Skid Row and West Hollywood environments Strong communication and relationship-building skills Tech-savvy (EMR systems, mobile tools, data tracking) MUST have reliable transportation Preferred Existing relationships with: Courts / probation / justice-involved systems Housing programs or behavioral health providers Experience with Medi-Cal populations and insurance verification Bilingual (Spanish or Russian strongly preferred for WEHO expansion) Compensation (Market-Based•Los Angeles) Based on current Los Angeles market data for senior outreach/community engagement roles:
Hourly Range:
$24•$28 per hour High-performing candidates with strong networks may command: $28•$30/hour Performance Incentives (Recommended) To align with MBI's growth model: Bonus tied to monthly admissions targets Additional incentives for: New partnership development High referral conversion rates Why This Role Matters at MBI MBI is built on access, engagement, and growth through relationships .
