A Social or Human Services Assistant assists with identifying and arranging community services for clients. Works with social workers and other human services professionals. Helps with rehabilitation for people with disabilities or those in recovery, or coordinates home care services for the elderly; may also coordinate housing or job training assistance for immigrants, veterans, former inmates or families in crisis.

In this role, you will work closely with the Life Enrichment Director to plan, organize, and lead meaningful activities that support the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of our Memory Care residents. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, conducting, and evaluating the Memory Care life enrichment program Participate in the development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments Invite and encourage residents to attend and participate in daily activities Conduct weekend activities Involve the resident/family in planning activities that meet the goals and objectives of the resident
Qualifications:
1 year experience or training preferred providing life enrichment activities preferred Experience working with the senior population preferred Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed
