Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and route calls in a high imaging department and/or office.
- Obtains and uploads outside imaging studies for comparison for radiologist.
- Burn CDs, prints patients' medical imaging records.
- Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers.
- Operates computer systems and office equipment in a safe manner.
- Interacts with patient, family members, physicians, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Complies with Joint Commission regulations that are in place for critical results communication and/or other regulated results documentation.
- 24/7 coverage required in an acute hospital setting which includes weekday, and weekend coverage; a backup list requirement is initiated for the emergent staffing needs within the department.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years related medical office experience.
