Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding technical support to faculty, staff, students, guests, and community partners.Coordinate and support classroom technology, meetings, special events, and broadcast activities.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot audio, video, presentation, lighting, and instructional technology systems.
Deliver hands-on technical support before, during, and after events to ensure seamless operations.
Train users on classroom, presentation, and event technologies.
Mentor and supervise student assistants while fostering valuable hands-on learning experiences.
Develop documentation, training materials, and best practices to enhance user success.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve campus services and operations.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders, vendors, and external partners on technology initiatives and projects.
Support technology planning, standards development, cybersecurity awareness, and continuous improvement efforts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Experience supporting users in technology-rich environments.
Knowledge of audio, video, classroom, and presentation technologies.
Experience operating live sound systems and event technology.
Familiarity with broadcast, recording, and production systems is preferred.
A commitment to helping others succeed through technology.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience providing technology and user support, preferably in higher education.
Experience with audio and video production technologies.
