Description:
Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is a retirement community committed to serving our residents with the upmost dignity and respect and caring for our staff in the same manner. We are seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Activity Aide for our facility to perform a variety of activities supporting the Life Enrichment function.
Schedule and Pay Information:
Starting Pay:
$15.30 -$16.50 per hour
Hours:
Full-time (8AM - 430PM) Tuesday through

Essential Functions:
Facilitates opportunities to meet resident needs through group or individual planned activities primarily in Supportive Care. Works collaboratively with life enrichment coordinator and life enrichment assistants to ensure quality programs/planning for involvement that meet specific interests and needs. Assists with planning, posting, and completion of programs for monthly calendars. Assists the L.E. Coordinator with documentation that charts and supports engagement as well as documentation that is required under federal and state guidelines. Participates in creating an atmosphere, which allows for the privacy, dignity, cleanliness, safety and well-being of each individual. Interacts positively with all residents and staff at all times, creating an atmosphere which promotes a caring and homelike environment. Reports any incidents or suspicion of abuse to supervisor or on call personnel immediately.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
Type of work and characteristics of duties require: Physical condition allowing for normal activity duties including but not limited to; lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, grabbing, pushing, pulling, standing or walking an entire shift, use of arms and hands with dexterity. Ability to push or pull up to 20 lbs. Ability to read and understand written instruction. Ability to speak clearly in English. Comfortable working in a Christian centered environment, including reading the bible, sharing devotions, and praying before meals.
