Be a part of a multidisciplinary team, comprised of medical providers, licensed clinicians, peer specialists, and care managers who collaborate to deliver individualized care that addresses both the clinical and social aspects for individuals who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The goal of the Compass program is teaching clients the skills they need to navigate life successfully. We treat the whole person with an integrated approach, and now offer basic medical care through our Federally Qualified Health Center. We offer competitive salaries, flexible schedule options, a chance to move up in the organization, and a full benefits package including generous paid time off. We are looking for a Peer Recovery Specialist in our Central Division, which would cover both Clark and Floyd Counties. The Peer Recovery Specialist needs to have lived experience with not only substance use recovery, but also mental health recovery.and will provide services to individuals ages 14-30 with a severe mental illness through individual and group modalities. Potential candidates should be comfortable working with individuals with dual diagnosis. Since this is a specialized/professional position, it does require certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist in the state of Indiana, and having the certification in Mental Health may be requested. This position will provide guidance, coaching and support to people in their first episode of psychosis and throughout their individual recovery process to establish a mental health recovery plan, increase positive social support, and advocate on behalf of the client when necessary. Some of the other duties include skills training in various activities of daily living, linking clients up to community resources and ensuring appropriate documentation, as well as participating in interdisciplinary staffing and trainings. We will be providing services both from the office, but would expect to provide services in the community and home environments.
