Job Description

Job description Seeking a Life Enrichment/Activities Assistant for our senior living community located in Sterling Heights, MI. We are a growing company that is passionate about seniors and our employees. We offer a competitive wage and benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off. The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the director with life enrichment activities that will engage residents in mental, physical, social, spiritual and creative capacities. The Activities Assistant is also responsible for driving the community bus 2-3 days per week to transport residents to doctor appointments, shopping trips, and other outings. Duties and Responsibilities Possess compassion for seniors in a positive manner. Drive residents to doctor appointments, shopping trips and other outings using the community bus. Develop individual and group relationships with residents, their family members, and guests. Assist with life enrichment activities as required by the Life Enrichment/Activities Director. Demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability. Follow all OSHA, Fire, Health Department and safety requirements. Skills/Qualifications Must have a passion for seniors. Regular attendance is required. Must have insurance and insurable driving record. Must have a valid chauffer's license or ability to obtain at company expense. Ability to drive a bus or assigned vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees. Must be a team player.
