Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies. Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly, given the available equipment or facilities. Manage the daily operations of recreational facilities and cleanliness of space. Document participation in enrichment activities. Complete and maintain time and attendance forms and inventory lists. Direct special activities or events, such as aquatics, gymnastics, or performing arts. Evaluate recreation areas, facilities, and services to determine if they are producing desire results. Document resident's progress toward meeting their goals. Greet new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining facility rules, and encouraging participation. Confer with management to discuss and resolve participant complaints. Accompany individuals or groups to activities. Communicate with leadership or other staff to resolve problems. Demonstrate activity techniques or equipment use. Develop plans for programs or services. Document client health or progress. Enforce rules or regulations. Explain regulations, policies, or procedures. Gather information in order to provide services to clients. Greet customers, patrons, or visitors. Monitor recreational facility operation. Help recreational activities or events. Promote products, services, or programs. Provide counsel, comfort, or encouragement to residents or families. Must be familiar with and comply with all Serenity policies and procedures. Must be a licensed driver and maintain a clean driving record while employed by Serenity. Must meet criteria to be covered by Serenity's vehicle insurance. Complete and maintain required orientation and annual trainings. Prior experience planning and implementing activities and events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to operate a computer and software Excellent listening and response skills in communicating with the resident community. Discretion in retaining confidential information between the staff and residents. The mind-set of a caregiver with a friendly and positive demeanor towards residents. Be up to date with completing required QuantiFERON tests, Mantoux tests or chest x-rays. Must pass background study. The Life Enrichment Assistant helps organize, promote, implement and evaluate individualized life enrichment programming (one to one, small group and large group basis) to maximize clients' independence and take into account the needs and interests of individual clients. Completes documentation including person centered care plans, progress notes and activity participation.
