Pines Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activity Assistant/ to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging recreational, social, cognitive, and wellness activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults and creating meaningful experiences that promote independence, dignity, and resident engagement. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement daily activity programs for Assisted Living residents. Lead group and individual activities designed to support residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being. Coordinate special events, entertainment, holiday celebrations, and community outings. Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment. Develop and publish monthly activity calendars. Maintain activity records and documentation as required. Collaborate with nursing staff, families, volunteers, and other departments to meet resident needs. Assist with transporting or accompanying residents to activities and community events when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum six (6) months of activity programming experience in an Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care setting preferred. Experience working with residents with dementia and memory impairment preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to be creative, enthusiastic, and resident-focused. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills preferred. Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
