SCHEDULE

The Life Enrichment Activity Assistant will help provide engaging activities and programs for residents across all levels of care, including Residential Living, Memory Care/Personal Care, and Skilled Nursing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with planning and leading group and one-on-one activities for residents. Help provide a variety of recreational, social, creative, and wellness-focused programs. Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences. Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents who may not participate in group activities. Adapt activities to meet the physical and cognitive abilities of individual residents. Assist with activities and engagement for residents living with dementia and other cognitive or physical limitations. Help with community-wide events, special programs, outings, and celebrations. Assist residents with transportation to and from activities and outings as needed. Work closely with the Life Enrichment Team and other departments to support resident engagement and quality of life. Maintain a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment for residents. Complete basic activity documentation as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who genuinely enjoys working with older adults. A friendly, compassionate, and patient personality. Creativity and enthusiasm for activities and social engagement. Ability to connect with residents and build positive relationships. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work with residents with different physical and cognitive abilities. Dependable, flexible, and willing to work as part of a team. Previous experience working with older adults, senior living, activities, recreation, dementia care, or a similar setting is helpful but not required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively with residents and coworkers. Ability to push wheelchairs and assist residents as needed. Ability to stoop, bend, and work at the level of a bed or chair. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed. Ability to assist with resident outings and transportation.
