Job Description

Tuesday and Thursday, one shift per week, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Open to Casual (as-needed) availability as well Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) to two (2) years of experience preferred in a long-term care or retirement community. Computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to complete Tandem Living's Dining Assist Program is recommended for this position. Plans, organizes, and implements programs that accommodate a variety of abilities and interests across different settings. Provides residents with opportunities to pursue personal and social interests and experience daily enjoyment. Regularly seeks resident input when planning activities through Community Circles and individual feedback. Uses creativity when developing activities and ensures programs are well organized, engaging, and positive. Provides meaningful and fulfilling activities for residents that encourage social connection and purposeful engagement, rather than simply filling time or keeping residents occupied. Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations related to resident activities. Accurately records resident group activity attendance, individual visits, and independent activity participation. Completes one (1) one-on-one visit with a resident for a minimum of ten (10) minutes during each shift worked. Ensures resident and household needs are met by actively assisting in various areas as needed. Assists with serving resident meals as needed.
