The Aspire After School Program is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and creative Youth Development Leaders to work with middle school scholars in our dynamic after-school program beginning August 5, 2026 ! If you enjoy mentoring youth, leading engaging activities, supporting academic success, and creating a positive environment for students — this is the perfect opportunity for you! Position Overview Under the supervision of the Program Assistant, Youth Development Leader provides direct supervision and support to groups of middle school-aged scholars during after-school hours in a structured, safe, and engaging environment.
Paid Training:
Select days between July 27 - August 3, 2026
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 1:15 PM - 6:00 PM Approximately 28-30 hours per week Multiple school sites available What You'll Do Lead fun and engaging enrichment activities Provide homework and academic support Plan creative projects, games, and themed activities Supervise indoor and outdoor recreation Build positive relationships with scholars and families Complete lesson plans, attendance, and program paperwork Help create a safe, welcoming, and structured environment
We're Looking For Candidates Who:
Enjoy working with middle school-aged youth Have strong classroom management skills Are creative, energetic, and team-oriented Can think outside the box when planning activities Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff Are dependable, punctual, and positive role models Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma Must have one of the following At least 48 college semester unit. Ability to pass the District proficiency exam Experience working with youth preferred TB clearance required Must pass DOJ/FBI background check Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and actively supervise youth Why Join Aspire?
